Gamma Epsilon ~ Kent State University

Gamma Epsilon was chartered on the campus of Kent State University (KSU) on May 19, 1973, by 12 innovative members. Gamma Epsilon continues to focus on our sororities principles of Sisterhood, Service, and Scholarship.

Gamma Epsilon’s current poodles continue to prove themselves as leaders on KSU’s campus. Their golden path to Sigma varied, as well as their academic backgrounds in; pharmacy, event planning, business, social, sports administration, nursing, psychology, medicine and law. These Prissy Poodles continue to grow together, are ambitious, determined and friendly while they continue to leave their impact on KSU’s campus. Gamma Epsilon exemplifies our sorority’s slogan of Greater Service, Greater Progress as they earned several awards from Kent State University; Renaissance Ball Queen, Activist Award, Rising Star Award, Greek Organization of the Year, Most improved GPA, Excellence in Community Service Award, and Excellence in Campus Involvement Award.

Theta Rho ~ Cleveland State University

The “Tenacious” Theta Rho chapter was chartered October 10, 1981 by three women on the campus of Cleveland State University. Theta Rho upholds the sorority's beliefs of sisterhood, scholarship and service.  In addition to fulfilling the national programs of the sorority, these poodles illuminate the Cleveland State campus with some of the chapter’s signature programs:

  • Spoonful of Soul
  • Kisses and Condoms
  • Stomp Out Aids Step Show

Theta Rho has also received many awards including 2013 Central Region Vision Award Winner, 1st Place Dr. Rejesta V. Perry Scrapbook Competition in 2013, 1st Place Central Region Founder’s Day Flyer Design in 2012 and 2013, “Student Organization of the Year” in 2000 and 2001 and many more. As of recently, Theta Rho won 1st place for the Hattie Redford award for Scrapbooking at the 56th Biennial Boule held in Cleveland, OH. 

The current members make sure that academics are still a number one priority. Some of the majors that our members have are Nursing, Education and Entrepreneurship. Study tables are held every other week to make sure each soror is upholding her academic commitments.
